The Breede River Valley
Be sure to travel along the R62
Route, it's the longest wine route in the world
and passes through the Breede River Valley
to the Klein Karoo, encompassing Ceres,
Tulbagh, Montagu,
Robertson and Barrydale
along the way.
Famous for it's internationally recognised wines, this
region is also renowned for its fruit orchards
and dairy farms which produce exceptional
cheeses. The locals have long known about the hot
springs, mountain trails,
game reserves and other attractions
and now visitors can experience it for themselves.
There are a number of first class wine estates that
offer wine tasting and cellar
tours, as well as the numerous guest houses
B&Bs and intimate hotels along the route. Some useful
