An energetic little �village,� it welcomes visitors to an astounding variety of recreational activities as well as to an intriguing diversity of natural wildlife and multi-cultural identities, tastes and expressions. For active visitors, there is no end to the adventures that Hout Bay has in store. It is a hub of exciting sporting activities which include scuba diving, deep sea fishing, sailing, sea-kayaking and jet skiing. Breathtaking Helicopter rides across the peninsula and refreshing cruises to Seal Island make for leisurely and memorable days outdoors. Hout Bay is abuzz with shops and restaurants as well as outdoor bars to stop off at for a drink at sunset. Hout Bay�s selection of hand-made arts and crafts are widely known and are really something to look out for as they provide beautiful and intricate testaments to the character of our unique people.

Hout Bay is only a 15-20 minute drive from any one of Cape Town�s popular destinations. Chapman�s Peak is a scenic coastal drive that provides an extraordinary experience in and of itself but one that also leads to Noordhoek, Fishoek, Muizenberg and Kalk Bay, which are all well worth a visit. A winding mountain road provides a quick route into Cape Town�s Southern Suburbs and the coastal drive towards the Waterfront and city centre passes all of Cape Town�s finest beaches. Cape Town has a wide variety of unforgettable experiences in store for you. These include cable car rides up Table Mountain, trips to Robben Island, Grand West Casino, Kirstenbosch Gardens, the famous Wine Route of the Western Cape and a night-life full of surprises.
