Hoogekraal Country House
Information
Hoogekraal Country House is ideally located for touring the entire Garden Route
and Klein Karoo. Its position affords panoramic views of the bay and the
mountains. It is 1 km from the N2 highway, a few minutes from secluded beaches
at Glentana, seven minutes from the George national airport, a short drive to
the famous 'Fancourt' country club, and 15 minutes from the famous steam train
station and museum at George.
Two world class golf courses are at George, and two others about a half an
hour away. Guests are accommodated only in original 18th and 19th century
houses, set in old family gardens. Additionally, the reception rooms display
some of the rarest private collections of antiques and paintings in the country.
