The Farmhouse Hotel
The Farmhouse sits on the hill above the Langebaan Lagoon on the Cape West
Coast. Dating back to 1860, this warm and welcoming country hotel enjoys
outstanding views of the lagoon.
The unique landscape is blessed with
another of nature's miracles. In Spring the coastal fields of unique fynbos are
transformed into a floral sea of gently swaying colour, alive with millions of
wild flowers, from pure, gentle white to deep luxuriant purples and blues. No
pictures or descriptions quite capture its magnificence so visitors from all
over the world come here every year between August and October to witness the
spectacle.
Accommodation
There are 18 guest rooms, 16 with en-suite
bathrooms and all with televisions, mini-bars and tea and coffee facilities.
Selected rooms have fireplaces and some lead on to the private garden and
pool.
Activities
For the more adventurous there are plenty of
water sports available and for those looking for fun and laughter, enjoy
visiting the local vineyards and tasting our wines. Join the locals at one of
the many restaurants or bars and experience the special, friendly and laid-back
spirit of the region.
Dining
Our restaurant, the Panorama, named after the
original homestead, offers traditional Cape cuisine and a Diamond Award winning
wine list, specialising in wines of the West Coast and Swartland regions.
In winter a crackling fire spreads a warm glow over the Oregon furniture
and high ceilings. Enjoy the finest, fresh West Coast seafood mussels or fresh
line fish, farm style chicken pie, oxtail and a variety of farm fresh vegetables
and salads.
The Farmhouse 5 Egret Street, Langebaan.
