Secluded on the outskirts of the picturesque Tulbagh village, Rijk's Country Hotel offers you intimate comfort and tranquility on a new wine estate. Overlooking the vineyards and a lake, it is a luxury winelands retreat in the heart of the wine and fruit producing Breede River Valley and a perfect getaway retreat to relax and recharge one's batteries.

Accommodation

Accommodation consists of 12 individually decorated luxury suits with an en suite bathroom, and 3 self catering cottages which each consists of 1 double and 1 twin bedroom, lounge with fireplace, bathroom and kitchenette.

Restaurant

Rijk's has an excellent restaurant offering the finest country cuisine. Meals can also be savoured on the garden patio while enjoying the lake's bird-life. Menu changes often making use of fresh produce daily.

Private Cellar

At Rijk's Private Cellar, our wines are made in the vineyards. With pride and patience, our people are dedicated to producing optimum quality grapes from each vine. Picked by hand in the cool of the night, our cellar master follows the philosophy of gentle handling and minimum interference to reflect the true natural character of the soils and climate.

Tulbagh is renowned for its heritage of Cape Dutch and Victorian architecture and has South Africa's highest concentration of National Monuments. For the energetic, there is golf, horse riding and hiking and cycle trails with easy reach.
