Beacon Lodge

This is a small (just two rooms) personal, friendly and
involving B&B and I mean B&B in the proper sense where you share the
house with your hosts. (Both rooms have their own separate entrances, mind you,
if you want to slip about more furtively.) The patio (for breakfasts, garden
bird-watching or reading) has long views out to sea and its only a short walk
to the beach and the lagoon, presumably where you will want to spend at least
some of your time. To this end Al and Clo have all beach necessities at the
ready umbrellas, towels and the like.
The larger of the two rooms was my favourite (and also the more expensive
my wife will tell you this is typical) with sea views through a huge window and
anti-glare solar blinds. There is seagrass on floors, plenty of immaculate
seaside white in walls and towels and colour is added in the form of fresh
flowers. The Scheffers take the greatest care of their guests. Fridge facilities
provided. Great restaurants within walking distance. Whales and dolphins in
season. Closed Mid-Dec - mid-Jan and either June or July. Enquire first!
