Amigo's
Situated in the perfect position at the top end of Kloof Street, Amigos Coffee
Shop & Bakery must surely have one of the best views in Cape Town. No matter
which table you choose, the face of Table Mountain rises majestically in front
of you. Up until a few months ago this view was largely wasted however, as the
premises were primarily for the bakery and a small shop area in front. Due to
the foresight of the present owners who embarked on a major renovation, they
have combined the bakery with an intimate coffee shop where newspapers and
magazines are thoughtfully provided to ensure that locals can really feel at
home.
The decor is fresh & exciting with lilac coloured walls, interesting
artwork, and simple but very artistic floral arrangements which add a touch of
class. In the bakery section a freshly baked assortment of breads, pastries and
cakes is temptingly displayed, and only those with iron willpower will leave the
shop empty-handed!
