Cafe Manhattan

Cafe Manhattan, the popular meeting, eating, drinking, dancing, chilling, chatting and longest standing venue in De Waterkant Village welcomes the summer 2000 season with fresh new look. Although much has changed, the simple and fabulous formula responsible for the success and popularity of Manhattan, as she is often referred to, has remained the same. Recently launched is the new Manhattan menu with a culinary host of new items including starters, grills and sweet treats.

The ever-popular Skyscraper Beef Burger remains firmly on the table, now accompanied by a Veggie and a Chicken Burger. Huge odds currently ride on whether the Beef Burger will be able to keep the 'best burger in town' reputation. Both the interior and exterior of Caf� Manhattan have been renovated and redecorated and now make a rather bold statement on the corner of Waterkant and Dixon streets. Belgium artist and painter Carlo van Tichelen exhibits a new body of works inspired by his stay in South Africa.
