Cafe Paradiso
Opened in 1992, this restaurant and winebar is as popular as ever under the
guiding hands of Eugene Labuschagne, Hennie Hugo and Carien Hugo. Initially
envisaged as a home from home for city bowl residents it now appeals to young
and old, male and female, holidaymakers and business people alike. Other than
breakfast which is served between 10.00 and 11.30 am each day except Monday
(closed until noon), guests are welcome to enjoy a chilled glass of wine on the
balcony, tea and a slice of one of the mouth-watering cakes on display, or a
complete meal at any given time during the day or night.
The menu offers a wide selection of Mediterranean-style dishes, which
includes garden fresh salads, innovative pastas, vegetarian dishes, linefish,
the ever popular meze buffet and (rumour has it) one of the best fillet steaks
in town. Those with a sweet tooth can choose from a range of wicked desserts -
naked cup of chocolate, tiramisu and the legendary creme brulee to mention but a
few.
