Cattle Baron
During the American Civil War (while the farmers were away fighting), a new
breed of entrepreneur was born, the Cattle Barons. These immensely rich and
powerful men, along with their cowboys moved millions of unattended Texan cattle
vast distances (under adverse conditions) across the Kansas plains to Railheads
for transport to market centres. This helped generate income which stabliized
the war-torn Texan economy.
In what was previously a private house, this restaurant has been created with
a very cosy, private atmosphere. In addition to this homely ambience, a separate
room offers excellent facilities for larger groups of diners, functions and
business lunches, etc. This is the only upmarket steakhouse in the entire
Helderberg area.
