The Beefeater
The Hawthorndene Country Inn has been rescued and restored to its former best
and better. This wonderful historical Country Inn was so nearly lost forever to
George. Saved only hours from the auctioneer's final hammer by new owners and
management, who remembered the Hawthorndene when it was in its hey-day,
Hawthornedene offers a Ladies bar, Beer Garden and last but not least, the
magnificent "Beefeater Restaurant".
Built from Knysna logs, the restaurant has a cosy, rustic feel. This is
enhanced by subtle lighting, candlelit tables and a crackling log fire in
winter. The Leopard print table cloths add an "Out of Africa" touch to the d�cor
which is warm and welcoming.
