The Copper Pot was established in 1974 making it the oldest restaurant in George. The secret to our success: offering our guests the best quality our market has to offer, always maintaining very high standards and friendly and attentive service. The Copper Pot boasts eight "Wine list of the Year Awards" awarded by Diners Club International and for the last three consecutive years The Copper Pot was selected by "Wine Magazine" as one of the top 100 Restaurants in South Africa.

George's landmark restaurant relocated three years ago to a converted 1920's house on the outskirts of town, within metres of the Fancourt Golf Estate. The ambience is inviting: light walls, gleaming wide-planked floors and crisp bright white napery reflected in the Tiffany-style wall lamps.
