River Club Cafe
Nestling under a large oak tree at the entrance to Knysna's award winning
resort, The Knysna River Club, stands a quaint turn of the century building
(circa 1890). Filled with original yellowwood and Oregon, this cosy little
building has an old world charm full of it's own distinctive character. This is
the home of River Club Caf� - one of Knysna's finest restaurants.
Dave and Liz Hall have been hosting their guests here since June 1998.
Appealing to the discerning local and international food lover, Liz ensures that
everything is prepared fresh on order. This is definitely not fast food and can
be best described as wholesome country cuisine to be enjoyed with a local estate
wine chosen from the vast selection on display. It is often said you can taste
that Liz prepares the food with her heart. Self trained, Liz's flair has
developed from a passion for food as a young girl with an emphasis on healthy
whilst not compromising on taste.
