De Kraal Restaurant - Samoa Hotel
Owner Ivan Katz has been running this very successful establishment for the past
23 years and the quality and presentation of dishes combined with excellent
hospitality have ensured the on-going popularity of this country restaurant. A
covered patio which looks onto a small garden area provides additional seating
space and is equipped with a large pizza oven and bar counter which are put to
good use in the evenings.
Attractively decorated in a blue and yellow colour scheme with lots of wood
furnishings the overall impression of De Kraal is one of rustic charm, which is
further enhanced by an old Defy Dover stove (now electrified) which is a unique
and much talked about feature of the interior. Adjacent to the restaurant is a
separate ladies bar for smokers and those who enjoy their pre-dinner drinks.
