Situated in the original cellar of the Boschendal Manor House, the restaurant
serves delectable Cape-French buffet luncheons, every day of the week. Your
experience of Cape hospitality begins in the reception area where guests are
welcomed with a glass of sherry or grape juice and the most magnificent display
of fresh Proteas. The arrangement incorporates a wide variety of these unusual
blooms, which are all picked on the farm. Slightly elevated from the reception
area is the Boschendal Restaurant where the atmosphere is harmonious;
air-conditioned in the summer and warmed in our mild winter. The yellow wood
tables groan under the weight of eye catching, mouth-watering dishes which are
expertly prepared by the kitchen brigade. These tantalising treats are perfectly
complemented by Boschendal's finest wines. Included in the Winelist are
descriptions of the more than twenty local cheeses presented on the cheese
table. Complemented with fresh and dried fruit and preserves we suggest you try
the "French way" and enjoy your cheese before moving on to the sinful desserts.
