With an appealing and intriguing name like "La Romantica" it is not surprising that diners expect something out of the ordinary, and this small group of restaurants is geared to provide just that. The d�cor is simply superb with plenty of dark wood, comfortable upholstered seating, and excellent attention to detail to create a rich tapestry which is eye-catching and appealing. A trademark feature of the La Romantica restaurants are the impressive wine collections which are housed in glass cabinets and display selected wines from well known wine estates. The bottles on display range from the standard 750 ml to the magnificent Nebuchadnezzar which holds an amazing 15 litres of wine!

Situated on the outskirts of Stellenbosch, the restaurant has an attractive fa�ade complimented by a covered verandah and large patio area with plenty of outside tables and umbrellas. Surrounded by mountains and overlooking the Stellenbosch golf course, La Romantica attracts a mixed clientele from local businessmen and young professionals to overseas tourists and upcountry visitors. The interior is spacious with seating for 120 diners with the upstairs area being reserved for smokers. Downstairs there is a large fireplace which separates the dining area from the bar where locals enjoy watching satellite sports.
