Il Casale At Ashanti
Il Casale is situated on a picturesque estate overlooking a huge, pine-fringed
dam at Ashanti. The entrance to the restaurant, part of a terracotta-rose
complex, has an impressive view: terraced beds of lavender divided by a paved
path leading up to the vineyards, over which towers the Klein Drakenstein range.
The menu changes constantly with what the market provides. Guest should try
the home-made focaccia, the ostrich carpaccio, the fish of the day with
basil-tomato salsa, and the platter of selected local cheeses.
